Please note that this is an annual effort that occurs every fall. As soon as frost appears on the escarpment, the snow guns are blowing fresh powder onto Glen Eden.

Kelso tranforms from a mountain biking and family fun hub into a ski hill with 15 runs and three terrain park runs. The Kelso trails are closed during the winter, but the ski hills are ready for winter fun! The Escarpment Walk is an aerial ropes course that will challenge you to test your balance and traverse climbing elements.

Age, height, and weight restrictions do apply but vary for each feature. Note: the Challenge Course can now be booked for Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-5pm starting June 19 by adding them to your Kelso visit reservation here.

Kelso boasts a variety of activities any time of the year, and the reservoir hosts a multitude of them. You can swim, canoe, or try your hand at stand-up paddle boarding during the warmer months of the year.

For those who prefer to stay dry, enjoy a peaceful walk on the board walk around the reservoir. Note: Kelso Beach is open by reservation only. Hundreds of picnic tables dot the rolling landscape and shelters are available for company and family picnics.

Very few bugs too. Overall great trails and hike! Trail was hard to find start of, great trail for biking. Excellent beach and lake to swim in. It was a hot one, but lots of shaded parts along the trail. Nice route and definitely a favorite! This was my first full trail I hiked and I loved it.

Definitely coming back for fall. Great trail, most was easy. Some muddy areas from the recent rain. All bikers we crossed paths with were very polite. Great trail, but there are lots of side trails so its easy to get lost if you don't have a map.

There are some pretty muddy spots after a rainy day. Also some parts of the trail are mainly meant for mountain biking especially the last part marked as the Xtreme trail , so watch out for the bikers! Familiarizing myself with the main perimeter trails- popular playground for mountainbiking.

Beautiful viewpoint near the flat rocks! Some challenging points during the hike but also some plateau portions. Only complaint is the trails were not easy to find nor follow. A fee per person and reservation must be made to hike this trail. From the trailhead at the busy parking area, you will follow trails that meander old growth forest with streams, interpretive signage, and even some meadows.

If you are lucky, hikers may be able to see some local wildlife like wite tailed deer! This trail is very busy year round, so be prepared for crowds no matter the season. This is a popular area for winter snowshoeing and fat biking, too. During the fall, this is one of the best places along the Niagara Escarpment within the Milton area to view the fall colours. During winter, sections of this trail come close to the private downhill ski hills - so do your best to stay on this route to not get lost on the summits of the ski areas.
